SEASON START WITH COMEBACKS
(03.01.2010) The first week of the new season took off with interesting comeback stories of former top stars.
The Brisbane International in Australia has been a stage for the comeback stories of former top players Kim Clijsters, Justine Henin and Ana Ivanovic. All three stars came through their first round opponents to move to the next round.

Top seeded Clijsters of Belgium moved past Tathiana Garbin of Italy 6-2 6-1 in 53 minutes, while unseeded compatriot Henin upset 2nd seeded Nadia Petrova of Russia 7-5 7-5 in her first WTA match since 2008.

3rd seeded Ivanovic came through in one of the most interesting clashes of the first round agains Jelena dokic of Australia by winning 7-5 1-6 6-3.
