IVANOVIC DISAPPOINTED AGAIN
(21.01.2010) After showing signs of recovery in Brisbane a week ago, former world number one Ana Ivanovic lost in the second round in Melbourne.
Former world number one Ana Ivanovic of Serbia, who failed to find her form since becoming world number one in the middle of 2008 season, was disappointed once again in the second round of Australian Open in Melbourne as she lost 6-7(6) 7-5 6-4 to Gisela Dulko of Argentina. The 20th seed had reached the semifinals in Brisbane a week ago.

Top seed Serena Williams easily dispatched Petra Kvitova of Czech Republic 6-2 6-1 while elder sister Venus Williams defeated Sybille Bammer of Austria 6-2 7-5 to reach the third round.
