FAVORITES SAIL THROUGH
(23.01.2010) Seeded players sailed through the second day of third round action at the Australian Open in Melbourne.
Both Williams sisters remained on track for the championships on a day which allowed no major surprises as third round women’s singles matches were completed at the Australina Open in Melbourne.

World number one Serena Williams easily dispatched 32nd seed Carla Suarez Navarro of Spain 6-0 6-3 while 6th seed Venus Williams defeated Casey Dellacqua of Australia 6-1 7-6(4) to reach the fourth round.

The only minor surprise of the day came from 10th seed Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland, who lost 6-2 6-2 to 17 th seed Francesca Schiavone of Italy.
