PEMRA OZGEN AT VALE DE LOBO
(12.02.2010) Turkish player Pemra Özgen reached the quarterfinals at a 10.000 dollar ITF event in Portugal.
Turkish player Pemra Özgen opened the 2010 season by reaching the quarterfinals at the 10000 dollar ITF event in Vale de Lobo, Portugal.

3 rd seeded Özgen defeated Paula Cristina Goncalves of Brazil 7-5 6-3 in the first on then beat Justyna Jegiolka of Poland 6-1 6-1 in the second round but lost 7-5 6-2 to Nicolette Van Uitert of the Netherlands 7-5 6-2.

Ozgen also partnered with Sandra Zaniewska of Poland in doubles. They reached the semifinals losing 6-1 4-6 10-6 to Mayr Sisters of Austria.

Turkish number one Çaðla Büyükakçay played in another ITF event in Mildura, Australia. Seeded 5th at the 25.000 dollar event, she made a surprise exit in the first round with a 6-2 6-0 loss to Kristyna Pliskova of Czech Republic.

In doubles, Büyükakçay and Shannon Golds of Australia lost 3-6 6-3 10-6 against Jarmila Groth/Jade Hopper of Australia in the semifinals.
