VENUS REPEATS DOUBLE SUCCESS
(27.02.2010) Venus Williams won back to back titles in Dubai and Apaculco, repeating a feat she also achieved last year.
Top seed Venus Williams of USA defeated unseeded Polona Hercoq of Slovenia 2-6 6-2 6-3 in the final of Abierto Mexicana TELCEL Championships in Acapulco, Mexico.

The defending champion, who also defended her title in Dubai last week, repeated the feat of back to back titles despite 10 hour time difference, a transition from hardcourts to claycourts and opponents she never met before.

After a two hour marathon, Williams claimed the 43rd singles title of her career, equalling Martina Hingis for the 10th place in the all-time list of most WTA titles won, while Hercoq was defeated in the first final of her young WTA career.
