FIRST WTA TITLE FOR KLEYBANOVA
(28.02.2010) Russian Alisa Kleybanova upset compatriot Elena Dementieva to win first WTA title in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
4th seed Alisa Kleybanova of Russia upset top seeded compatriot Elena Dementieva 6-3 6-2 in the final of Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur to win the first singles title of her WTA career.

After struggling through the tournament, Kleybanova was impressiva in the final with her powerful serving and strokes against the world number seven, who came into the final by losing only 15 games in 4 matches.

Kleybanova had played 3 semifinals on the WTA Tour before, but this was her first final. She also won 3 doubles titles.
