VENUS TAKES BILLIE JEAN CUP
(02.03.2010) Venus Williams added Billie Jean Cup to the crowns she won in the last two weeks in Dubai and Acapulco.
In form Venus Williams of USA continued her winning form by winning Billie Jean King Cup in Madison Square Garden in New York, USA only days after her second straight WTA Tourt title in Acapulco.

In a four-player-draw exhibition, Williams defeated US Open Champion Kim Clijsters of Belgium 6-4 3-6 7-5 in an intriguing battle.

In the one set semifinals, which were played earlier in the day, Williams beat Svetlana Kuznetsova of Russia 6-4 while Clijsters outlasted Ana Ivanovic of Serbia 7-6(2).
